At Challenger Baseball, one of our goals is to provide athletes with lifelong opportunities to support their learning and growth. We devote significant time in each program to building lasting connections with peers, caring adults, and community members, enhancing courage to learn and try new things, developing a lifelong love of sport and being physically active, and increasing independence in the short and/or long term. As Challenger Baseball athletes grow and develop, there are opportunities for further learning and development they can take advantage of:

  1. Sobeys Healthy Athlete Challenges: Is your Challenger Baseball athlete looking for ways to enhance their skills and learning off the field? If yes, they may be excited to work on some of these fun Sobeys Health Athlete Challenges at home, with friends and with their family.
  • Athlete-to-Coach training: Is your Challenger Baseball athlete interested in becoming a buddy or a coach? This is an excellent step! Each year Jays Care Foundation offers Regional Training for coaches and buddies across Canada along with Challenger Baseball athletes who are striving to become coaches themselves! If your athlete is interested in this opportunity, please contact the Manager, Inclusive Programs and Outreach (link to email) at Jays Care Foundation.
