What are the requirements for my SCHOOL to run a Challenger Baseball Schools Program?
The Challenger Baseball Schools Program is a FREE adaptive baseball program designed to empower students living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. To ensure program sustainability and success, your school at minimum must meet 6 of the following 8 benchmarks for consideration:
• Your students have an intellectual disability.
• Your students have a physical disability.
• Your school does not currently have any/many recreation opportunities specific to these students.
• Your school has a minimum of 10 participants who will be involved in the program; *
• Your school has a minimum of 2 Challenger Baseball Champions (educators) who are willing to attend a 1-day training-workshop, deliver the program, report on the program and be in touch with Jays Care Foundation on a consistent basis.
• Your school has access to an indoor and/or outdoor space to play;
• Your school is willing to help provide additional support to sustain and promote the program throughout the whole school.
• Your school is willing to travel to neighboring schools to bring your athletes together.


What are the requirements for my ORGANIZATION to run a Challenger Baseball program? (i.e. Camps, Rehabilitation Hospitals, Adult Day Programs etc.)
Jays Care Foundation partners with organizations to help implement Challenger Baseball into their existing programs. To ensure program sustainability and success, your organization at minimum must meet 3 of the following 5 benchmarks for consideration:
• Your organization works with children, youth and/or adults living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
• Your organization is looking to include or increase recreation opportunities for its participants.
• Your organization has a minimum of 10 participants who will be involved in the program; *
• Your organization has a minimum of 1 Challenger Baseball Champion (program implementer) who is willing to attend a 1-day training-workshop, deliver the program, report on the program and be in touch with Jays Care Foundation on a consistent basis.
• Your organization has access to an indoor and/or outdoor space to play.
