All Challenger Baseball buddies are required to complete the following in order to officially join the growing team of buddies across the country:
- Identify the Challenger Baseball league closest to you that you are interested in joining.
- Send an email to the League Coordinator letting them know that you’re interested in joining their league as a buddy.
- Read and sign My Roles and Responsibilities as a Challenger Baseball buddy (link) document and send to your League Coordinator.
- Sign up for an complete a Jays Care Child Protection training (these are offered through Zoom and are free).
- For buddies who are 18 or older, complete a Police Record Check and submit it to your Challenger Baseball League Coordinator.
- Attend a league introduction meeting (hosted by your local league) to better understand the goals of the program and your specific roles and responsibilities; Show up on time each week and provide one-on-one support to your assigned buddy.
